Development of an emotional vocabulary size estimation test: Using computer adaptive test

In recent years, the importance of emotional granularity, which refers to degree an individual can recognize emotions discretely, has been acknowledged. However, methods used measure it are burdensome, and a simple measurement index is needed. this study, vocabulary size was proposed as alternative measure, test developed. First, words were collected from Emotional Vocabulary Dictionary, their discrimination difficulty parameter measured, validity confirmed, item bank created. Based on bank, estimation developed using computer adaptive test. When evaluated, estimated related general tendency one’s discretely. These results suggest that be estimate individual’s vocabulary, may serve granularity.
